WHY DO I NEED A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER?

We each have different priorities on what’s important when planning a wedding. However, one of the most common post-wedding regret from newlyweds, is that they did not hire a videographer for their wedding day. Whilst you spend months and months of careful planning, you often hear couples say, “the day went by so quickly!”

We absolutely adore photos, however, there are things that video can capture that photography can not alone; the sound of your vows, the toasts at the reception, the bride’s walk down the aisle, the way you moved on your first dance. A video encapsulates the entire mood and energy of your special day, and being able to relive that moment again or to share with your family and friends for years to come is beyond PRICELESS.

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO FILMING ON THE DAY?

We like to take a super discreet approach when filming your special day and capture candid moments as it naturally unfolds. There's no awkward poses or disruptions. Our aim is to be unobtrusive and let you just enjoy your day!

WHAT IS A HIGHLIGHTS VIDEO?

A short cinematic wedding film that encapsulates the essence of what transpires on your special day. The film is a highly edited piece that runs under 8 minutes, making it popular for sharing with family, friends and on social media to watch over and over again. The final edit is uploaded and hosted on our Vimeo page to allow for easy sharing and viewing.

WHAT IS A FULL-DAY VIDEO?

We tidy up the raw footage and live recorded audio from the day, then lightly edit it into a chronological documentary-style video that includes the key moments of your wedding day. Depending on your coverage hours and events, this typically includes the bridal preparations, (entire) ceremony, location shoot, (entire) speeches, cake cutting, first dance and dance floor action.

Couples can select their own songs for use as background music during some parts of the edit. This full-length video is approximately 1 - 2 hours long, depending on your events on the day, and is a keepsake to be cherished and watched with your closest family, friends and future generations to come.

CAN I SELECT THE SONGS?

In short, yes and no. Music is an integral part of the story-telling process and the soundtrack can dictate how effectively it tells your story. Videos posted publicly online must comply with copyright laws and use licensed music. For this reason, we like to take creative control over the music selection for the highlights edit. We put a lot of thought and effort, searching the music library of licensed songs to find the perfect soundtrack to your unique story.

For the full-day documentary video, we are more than happy for you to select any pieces of music for consideration. Most of the formalities will utilise the live audio recorded on the day.

DO YOU REQUIRE MEALS AT THE WEDDING RECEPTION?

We are usually very occupied throughout the entire day, therefore we do kindly ask that a courtesy meal be provided for both videographers. Most reception venues offer vendor meals, which is more than adequate for us. However, if a meal is not provided the videographers may leave for up to 45 minutes to obtain a meal.

HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?

Before you lock away a booking, we'd love to hear from you first or meet up in person to know more about you, your day, and to better understand your needs. We then email you a price quote for consideration, draw up a contract with your selected package to review and then sign-off. In order to secure your wedding date, a non-refundable deposit is required, payable via direct deposit, cash or Paypal.

Payment Terms:

  • 1st payment – deposit to secure booking

  • 2nd payment – due 14 days prior to wedding date

  • 3rd payment – remaining balance due upon completion of all edits

It would be an absolute privilege to film your special day, however due to our level of commitment dedicated to each wedding, we are limited to the amount of bookings we can secure per year – so we encourage you to get in touch at your earliest convenience.
